Generic name: Escitalopram Oxalate Tablets

[Indications]

For the treatment of depressive disorders, and for panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.

[Dosage and Administration]

Administration: Oral, may be taken with food.

  •   Depression

Once daily. Usual dose: 10 mg daily. Depending on individual response, the maximum daily dose may be increased to 20 mg. Antidepressant efficacy is usually seen within 2–4 weeks. After symptom remission, treatment should continue for at least 6 months to consolidate therapeutic effect.

  •   Panic Disorder (with or without agoraphobia)

Once daily. Initial dose: 5 mg daily for the first week, increased to 10 mg daily thereafter. Depending on response, the maximum daily dose may be increased to 20 mg. Optimal efficacy is usually achieved after about 3 months of treatment. The treatment course generally lasts several months. (Refer to package insert for details.)

1. Contraindicated in patients allergic to the active ingredient or any excipients.
